Students have been learning a lot about shapes, the Alphabet, and Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind this week. You should ask them about what it means.:) Some students continue to struggle with completing independent tasks in school. Please encourage your child to practice writing his/her name, tying shoes, using snaps, buttons, zippers, and washing hands before eating.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Students have been working on writing the sounds they hear and stretching out words. Please continue practicing letters and sounds of the alphabet at home. Many students are able to sing the Alphabet song, but are unable to identify letters and sounds when asked at random. Students may become frustrated during writing time if they are not familiar with letters and sounds as they are stretching out words. Practicing this at home will help build confidence in your child. Reminder: Please check your child’s B.E.E. folder each day. This is a great way for us to communicate. Below is an overview of what we will be learning in class next week.
