I have included a Guided Reading Log on the back of your child’s calendar in his/her B.E.E. Folder. I will be sending a book or phonics activity home for your child to complete each night beginning Monday, September 11th. This will depend on your child’s reading level. After your child reads to you or completes the activity, please record the title of the book or activity, date, and your initials on the log. Then I will send home a new book or activity. This homework will be on your child’s instructional reading level. The recording sheet log is for guided reading books/activities only. When the guided reading log is filled up your child will earn a prize. Repetition is important for reading. You may encourage your child to read the book to you a couple times each night. The same book will be sent home two days in a row. Please be sure your child reads the book both days. There will be an activity sheet to complete for the book on the second day. Thank you for your continued support and hard work at home! Sincerely, Mrs.Choate |
