Reminder: Please check your child’s B.E.E. folder each day.
The next two weeks we will be focusing on pumpkins. We will have fun learning and doing activities centered on pumpkins. Also, please remember to complete the book or phonics activity with your child each night. You will need to record the title of the book or the phonics activity that your child completed on the Guided Reading Log on the back of the calendar in the B.E.E. folder.
It would also be helpful for your child to practice matching and writing numbers 1-20. Many students can count, but they struggle with writing a number without singing the number song (it would be helpful to randomly point to a number for your child to identify). I appreciate all your support from home in helping your child be successful in reading.

READING- Daily 5: Read to Self, Listen to Reading, Work on Writing, and Word Work, Café` Strategies: Retelling the story and Predicting
MATH- Compare, write, and match numbers and quantities 16-18, Exploring Manipulatives in Math Workshop, Sorting , matching and writing numbers 1-20, and making equal sets
